– 1 cup frozen raspberries
– 1 lime

Today´s powerful Words we found on Eckhart Tolle´s facebook page and we want to share them with you:

“Dear Friends,
May I suggest a deeper and somewhat unusual perspective on who you are?
You are not just a person, and you are not IN the Universe.
You ARE the Universe, which IN YOU is awakening, experiencing itself, becoming conscious. That consciousness is who you are in essence. We are all fleeting expressions of it. The Universe awakens THROUGH experiencing challenges and limitations. That means YOU awaken and deepen through your challenges, as does humanity as a whole. So welcome or at least accept all that life brings you. Change what can be changed, otherwise surrender to what IS. Feel the Presence within you as the background to every experience. Know that, as Jesus put it, “you are the light of the world.”

Much love,

Wednesday night out with Live Music

Hello beautiful,

We had a little sleep in today. Usually we are early morning birds but last night we went out with our friends who are in town.. so we think we deserved to sleep a little longer! 😉  We had a very lovely day, up and running non-stop! Despite some productive working hours we made a raw food lunch yesterday for our friends and it turned out very tasty. We made raw taco with nut “meat” and raw sour cream – recipes will be up this weekend. We also made an improvised cake that turned out delicious. Recipe is below. In the evening we went to different bars and ended up at Buorbon Street with live music. The singer had such a personality that he turned it all out to a proper show! We enjoyed it a lot and we love to go to bars with live music.. specially if it is a good one! 😉

Something we have noticed now when we are very conscious with our bodies and minds – and how we treat ourselves, is how AMAZING our bodies work now when we pay close attention to all the signals we recieve all the time. For instance, yesterday the lunch was pretty big for what we are used to eat so in the evening we really craved to keep it simple. We had a massive orange juice for dinner each.. and seriously felt amazing and so vibrant afterwards! We were juice-high (if that even exists?! ;)) and our bodies were totally thriving. If you would have asked us a couple of months ago if we would replace our dinner for a juice we would have thought  you were crazy!!! We think it is so amazing how our bodies are constantly trying to tell us what it needs. Especially when we step outside our daily routines and habits and really start to pay attention and give the body what it truly wants and needs. What a difference in mood and energy we can experience!

We want to thank for all your lovely comments, especially on the last post! Every single one of you are amazing and filled with good vibes. Keep sharing your thoughts and ideas – and we all can benefit and help each other!

1365670133033Now it is time to make Raspberry Coco Chocolate Mousse Cake! The pics do not make the cake look as good it actually tasted. It was truly DELICIOUS and we highly recommend it! And as always, every single ingredients is GOOD for you and will make you feel vibrant and happy.. as all the food we are eating should make us feel.

– Nuts (we used a bag of mix nuts; brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds)
– Dates
– Dried figs
– Carob

Raspberry Coco
– Bananas
– Frozen raspberries
– Dates
– Coconut cream
– Crust (optional)
+ Banana

Chocolate Mousse
– 1 Avocado*
– 1 Banana*
– Raw cacao
– 1 tsp Agave syrup

* Depending how big you want to make the cake, adjust the amount of avocado and banana in your mousse. It is a good guidline that for each avocado use one banana.

– Fresh raspberries
– Raw cacao nibs

Start with making the crust by putting all the ingredients in your food processor and process it until you get a nice and super tasty crust. Divide it in to your form.

Now do your raspberry coco layer by putting all the ingredients in your mixer except the coconut cream. Mix until you get a nice creamy texture. We used frozen berries but as always take what you have at home. Pour it in a bowl. Melt a table spoon or two, depending how big cake you are making, of your coconut cream. Pour it into your cream and stir around with a spoon. Now chop a banana and add it in the cream and stir carefully around with a spoon. Pour it into your form. Put it in the freezer meanwhile you prepare the chocoloate mousse.

Put all the ingredients for the chocolate mousse in your food processor. Add as much raw cacao you want – the more you put the more delicious it will be! 😉 Mix until you get your perfect mousse (waaaay better than all fake and unhealthy ones) and add it on the raspberry coco layer.

Let the cake be in the freezer for an hour to chill. You can leave it there as well if you want to save it for later. Take the cake out a good while before and keep it in the fridge so it is perfectly creamy when you serve it! Top it with fresh berries and some raw cacao nibs to make it even more tasty.

BON APPETITE! We wish you a wonderful Thursday 🙂

Tuesday in Amsterdam

Good morning sunshine,

How are you today? Did you have a good start of the week? Yesterday we had such a lovely day. We started off the day with a green smoothie to set the perfect tune for the rest of the day. Before we made the transition to a Raw Vegan Lifestyle we would never ever think we would replace our morning coffee and (what we thought.. healthy) breakfast with a vibrant and delicious green smoothie. Well, what to say.. never say never in life! 😉 We have two friends from Sweden that are in town for a couple of days. We took them to a lovely vegan restaurant in Jordaan in Amsterdam. Enjoyed some good food and juice while catching up over the last months. After our lunch our friends went for some sightseeing and we two found a perfect little book shop filled with books about energy, crystals, universe – you name it. Heaven if you ask us! In the book store you can also find different raw power food like goji berries, raw cacao and bars! We love to find places like this. We got so excited and purchased the crystal bible and raw chocolate bars and went to a super cosy coffee place next door. We enjoyed some mint tea together with our chocolate (sneaky girls who brings there own… ;)) while reading and enjoyed the rain pouring down outside. In our opinion what we call the perfect afternoon!

We are so excited to learn more about crystals. Are you using and playing with them? Please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas about crystals! For us it feels like the next step on our spiritual journey and we are eager to learn more. We will share our thoughts with you later on!

This morning we are also starting off the day with a green smoothie. But first, as always, a big glas of warm lemon water to help clean and alkalize our bodies – among with many different health benefits! We have already made a post about why you should start your day off with lemon water. So check it out if you have not done that earlier. It is a habit simply too good not to start your day with! However, today´s breakfast was a new smoothie version. We had so many apples at home so we figured we could try to make a green smoothie out of it and it turned out very good! So here we go. So let´s make today´s Green Apple Smoothiness 🙂

– Spinach
– Bananas
– Apple
– Spirulina
– Ice

Put all your ingredients in your mixer and blend and it is ready to be enjoyed!

Today we want to share some very powerful words by Sathya Sai Baba. We try to remind ourselves about this all the time. Take responsibility for our own actions and remember that we are the one in charge. All comes from within!

“When you know the truth, you cannot blame others for the misfortunes of the moment; those misfortunes are of your own creation. What matters is to live in the present, live  now, for every moment is now. It is your thoughts and acts of the moment that create your future. The outline of your future path already exists, for you created its pattern by your past. But even that outline can change, and will change, depending on your own thoughts and actions as each new day dawns and then dies away again.”

Chocolate mousse cake with a coconut twist

Hello sunshine,

This Friday afternoon and as perfect weekend preparations we want to share a delicious raw chocolate mousse cake with a coconut twist with you! This one is super easy to make and will make your taste buds go bananas 😉 The cake is clean (of course) and every single ingredient is doing wonders for your body. Seriously, it cannot be more fun and delicious to be a health nut! Do you not agree? 🙂 The recipe is inspired by amazing Brenda with an amazing instagram (onehungrymami).

Ok. Let´s make this cake to celebrate this perfect day!

– 1/4 cup Walnuts
– 7 Dates
–  2 big tsp Carob

Chocolate mousse
– 2 Bananas
– 2 Avocados
– 1/4 cup Raw cacao
– 1-2 tsp Agave syrup
– Vanilla powder

Banana coco
– 2 bananas
– 4 tbs coconut cream

This time we wrote some meassurement and proportions but please use them only as guidlines depending how big you want your cake and the size of your ingredients. This cake is a pretty small one and would go for 3 people, depending how big appetite you have of course! 😉

Start with making your crust by simply put all the ingredients in your food processor.1365087047503

Make your chocolate mousse by putting the ingredients in your food processor. Mix until it is smooth and no chunks in it. Take half of the mousse and cover the crust. Place the other half in an other bowl meanwhile. We love carob and think it gives a nice touch together with raw cacao but if you donnot have it at home, feel free the replace it with raw cacao instead.

Wash your food processor. Add your ingredients for the banana coco and process until smooth. Cover gently the chocolate mousse with your banana coco cream. Do it carefully.

Now take the rest of your chocolate mousse and cover your banana coco cream layer. Put it in your freezer and let it sit for an hour or more, depending on how big your form is. Take it out a good while before serving. Enjoy it with berries – bon appetite!!!

Before we let you go and make this delicious cake we want to share some very powerful words by Dr. Wayne Dyer with you. We hope you will take your time and truly try to make the effort to live after them:

”Fear is a big obstacle in the excuse catalog. A course in miracles tells us that there are only two emotions we can experience: love and fear. If we can find out ways to stay in a space of love, then fear is an impossibility.”

With our hearts,

Good Friday in Amsterdam

Happy healthy Easter to you!

It is funny.. now when we are fully aware of the universal laws and know we have to work with them instead of against them, we still get over and over again amazed how perfectly it works. For instance, this first week we had made a to-do-list of things we need to organize like get a bike, work permission, keys, transportation card etc. and we have thought about it every day that we should check off the list.. but never really felt like doing it. It felt more like MUSTS. Since we are very aware of how this universe is working and KNOW life is supposed to be fun – we decided to let the universe guide us and simply not stress about all the things we should be doing. Today suddenly we noticed that we were in a big flow and had already in the middle of laugh and joy completed the whole list! Is it not amazing? As soon we let go of all the things we should be doing and instead focus on nothing than feeling good and to be in alignment with ourselves – then all the things line up perfectly in front of us and it feels so easy and joyus to do what we “need” to do.

Never forget to have FUN and LAUGH! Enjoy whatever you are doing and you will change everything so that it matches your vibration. We ended up having so much fun (believe it or not) at the bike shop and shared laughter with the bike vendor. Is it not exactly that life is all about? We are here to have a good time. Bring your smile wherever you go – and it will not matter where you are. The sun will always be shining!

tumblr_mh7d9x4AuL1s4rxqeo1_1280We have to admit that we almost forgot it is Easter.. it happens easily when every day is different and life is far from “normal”. Now when we know it is a looong and wonderful weekend ahead for the most of us, we figured out it is a perfect occasion to share a super easy and YUMMIE raw chocolate recipe with you.

Ok. Let´s have some Happy Easter Weekend Raw Chocolate time!

– Coconut cream
– Agave syrup
– Carob
– Raw cacao
– Raw cacao nibs (optional)

Melt your coconut cream until liquid. Take it off the stove. Add the rest of the ingredients except the raw cacao nibs. Stir with a spoon. Pour it out in a form. Preferable a quite small form that it does not get too thin. Sprinkle raw cacao nibs over your chocolate. Put it in the fridge and let it chill for at least 30 min.

We always prepare our food without any fixed amounts. But for a little form we would say 3 BIG spoons coconut cream, 2 spoons carob and cacao and a tiny spoon agave. But go with your feeling. It will taste delicious!!!

We wish you a wonderful weekend 🙂

With love,
Julie & Katrin
