How are you? ūüôā¬†We are all good here in Sweden. Eventhough, we are in love with Amsterdam and see ourselves spend a part of our lives there we have to say it feels right¬†to be¬†where we are at the moment. We know we will be back sooner rather than later and it is important to follow our intuition.¬†This time it took us back to our parent¬īs place¬† ūüėČ (But sooo nice to spend quality time with¬†family¬†and good friends. Beyond grateful!)¬†¬†In the end, everything is a state of mind. Enjoy every single circumstance and it simply has to transform to something good. Sometimes it might require a bit of practice but with time it will be the most natural way of looking at life. It will come so natural to seek for the good that even if you might be surrounded by negativity you will be so trained not to get stucked within it. Instead always search for something good to hold on to. That will in the end attract even more good feeling experiences. We have tipped over and can nowadays¬†hardly think any negative thoughts. If we do so we get reminded¬†of¬†it very fast since we by now know how quick we are able to manifest both good and bad things. This also¬†means that we pretty fast become aware if we are stuck in a negative spiral since we suddenly get surrounded by more and more bad experiences. As soon as¬†we experience negative emotions and get stuck in it we try to seek for something that can neutralize our mood.¬†It pushes us to stop and calm down. We try to drop whatever we are doing and center ourselves. Nothing is more important than to be one with ourselves, or at least strive to be it. When we are in alignment with ourselves everything simply has to unfold with perfection. With this said, we are faaaar from perfect and can many times catch ourselves not up to speed with ourselves. That is a part of¬†our development¬†and as long as we are aware of the fact it is at least one step in the right direction. We have to remind ourselves not to be “perfect” and too hard on ourselves. We all have moments of confusion and loneliness but we are all on this journey together eventhough we might take different roads.

29 maj25 maj 13Today we want to share our super tasty Zucchini badges topped with red tomato pesto and refreshing cilantro cashew cream. It is a delicious appetizer or suits perfectly on your buffet table. We made a whole batch with them and they were gone within no time. Our guests loved them!

INGREDIENTS
– 1-2 zucchini

Red tomato pesto
–¬†about 15 sundried tomatoes (either you soak your own or you use sundried tomatoes in oil, as you prefer. )
Рabout 8 Cherry tomatoes
– 1 date (optional but gives a nice sweet touch)
– handful of fresh basil
– chili pepper
– garlic
– a pinch of salt
– pepper

Feel free to use whatever spices or herbs you have at home. Depending how tasteful you want it.

Put all the ingredients in your food processor and let it go until you get a nice texture. Put it in a bowl.

29 maj 2Refreshing cilantro cashew cream
– 2 cups of cashew nuts (soaked)
– 1-2 lime
– 1 tbl apple cider vinegar
– 1 clove garlic
– fresh cilantro
– pinch of cilantro

Place all the ingredients in your food processor (you can also use a blender) and process until it reaches a smooth consistency. You can add water to get the desired smoothness you wish for. We skipped this because we like it creamier. We usually try to add as little water as possible because it can tend not bring out all the flavours properly and we really enjoy tasting every single ingredient to its fullest. Also depending on how refreshing you wish to have your cream add as much as cilantro as you prefer. It is very individual and we personally love cilantro.25 maj 6

Chop your zucchini and put first one layer of your red tomato pesto and top with your refreshing cashew cilantro cream.

Sweden NEXT

These last days have been super busy and filled with new adventures. We have truly been enjoying our last days in Amsterdam for this time and have barely slept anything and spent minimal amount of time at¬†home. Therefore, a bit of lack of updates BUT now we are safely arrived to Sweden and right back on track ūüėČ We will spend 1,5 months here at our parent¬īs place before next adventure takes place. We are super excited for everything that is about to unfold with perfect timing as long as we stay present.¬†Honestly, that is the greatest lesson learned during¬†this spring. We would never be where we are today¬†if we walked around worrying and doubting. It takes a lot¬†of practice but¬†with time universe is showing more and more amazing signs that¬†you are¬†on the right path that it is simply impossible not to trust. The trick is to open your eyes and see the signs. However, it feels good to be back home as well and we were welcomed with beautiful sunny weather. Every time when we get back to Sweden in the summer we always get so amazed how light the evening (and nights) are and how green everything is. Life is all about contrasts and it is truly a joy to be able to appreciate them all.

Now we are off for a evening walk in the SUN (8.30 pm local time) before we hit the bed. We promise that new recipes will be up tomorrow. We have plenty we have not shared with you yet and cannot wait to do it.

Last weekend in Amsterdam

We are still busy enjoying our last weekend in Amsterdam for this time. We could not have ended our stay here in a better way. Delicious food and even better company, what more is there to ask for? Yesterday night we prepared dinner for a friend and it turned out to be a pretty amazing one. So be ready for some tasty recipes that we will post tomorrow (no time today).

Our last days here are passing too fast. We are really trying to enjoy ourselves as much as possible. Seize every moment. Many times we wish we could just stop the time and freeze. Let all the good emotions and experiences flow through our bodies and minds. Embrace it. Be it. We are beyond grateful for our freedom to be able to choose where we wish to be. We have told each others many times that this has truly been the best time in our lives in so many ways. It has been far from la dolce vita in Italy and crazy nights in Berlin. It has been beyond all this. For the very first time in our lives we have realized we are one with ourselves on a spiritual level as well where we are physically. We have blessed and given our thanks to every single experience we have walked through. Every moment of confusion, loneliness, happiness, self-fulfillment. In the end all of these emotions and experiences have brought something with them. Made us to the people we are in this very moment. All the lessons life has taught us and keep giving us. We have finally came to a point when things start to truly fall in to places. It starts to make sence. But to get to this point today we needed all these strange but enriching encounters with people around the globe, crazy nights in Rome, end up in random situations, hosted by strangers and the list goes on. Conclusion is that let us all be brave. Let us all follow whatever call us. Say YES to life. Do 10000 of mistakes. Be sure to enjoy them. There is always something to learn in every single situation. There is also beauty in the darkest moment. Feelings of loneliness, mistreatment and anger can be our greatest teachers if we allow them to be. We need the contrast to realize what we do enjoy and who we want to be. What we also have come to realize so profoundly is that this is truly only the beginning. When we wake up and start to be as aware we possible can we realize that life is a never ending ride!

Saturday Fever

The weekend is here and our Saturday fever is on. For this weekend we want to remind you to be yourself. Nothing is more important. You are unique and you are in the possession of your great potential to accomplish any dream you have. Dare to dream big, believe in it, feel it and eventually you will realize how universe is unfolding for you to receive it. And as the first quote above states, do all the good you can. Give, give genuinly, give your love and be grateful for being where you are right now in this very moment. It is the secret universal law, by giving from the heart you will get it back many times over and by multiple means. You are a miracle and you can create miracles. So for this weekend we encourage you to go out and live it!

oss2oss1What are you doing this weekend? Last night we were out and about with some friends¬†and needed to sleep in today. Soon we are¬†about to go and visit a dear friend of ours for a tea and some raw cake. It is so much fun to experiment in the kitchen but it is simply not possible for us to indulge in all the sweetnes ourselves. There is no better way than to share a bit of heaven with a beloved one! If we get the cake approved we will post it here one of these day. ūüôā

green1Before we leave you we want to share our green smoothie of the day. We have said it so many times before we know but there is seriously nothing better to start off the day with than a green smoothie. Especially after a late night out the green smoothie boosts your whole system and makes you feel alive. It is awesomeness to feel all the nutritions being absorbed in your body. Today we felt a big craving for something refreshing but yet with a little touch of sweetness. Our Cherry Blossom was a real satisfaction and we are really ready to get this Saturday started.

INGREDIENTS
– Spinach
–¬†4 Bananas
– 2 cups frozen raspberries
– 1 cup frozen cherries
– 2 dates
– Maca
– Chlorella
– Flax-seeds as topping

Simply place all your ingredients in your blender. Mix well, pour into your glass and it is ready to be enjoyed! Keep shining beautiful friend ‚̧

Raw Crackers

Hello Lovely,

We hope you have had a fruitful week and now ready for the weekend to begin. We are¬†as ready as we can be! We are going to make sure to enjoy everything Amsterdam has to offer as much as we can this weekend because it is our last days here for some time. We have not have had enough of Amsterdam though and will be back in the fall. Things have taken rapid turns lately and we are actually going to Sweden on Tuesday. We have a busy work schedule ahead of us¬†and realized it is much more convenient for us to be located in Sweden before our departure to Ghana. Sweden in the summer is also so the best time of the year so we have to choose wisely when it is time to go back home. ūüėČcrackers4Last weekend when we had¬†Julie¬īs rawesome birthday aperitivo we prepared Raw Crackers and want to share the recipe with you. Raw crackers are for example¬†great to have on a buff√© table, enjoyed with a salad or as a snack just as they are or with a spread. The crackers are super easy to prepare and the oven or dehydrator is pretty much doing the work for you. Can it get any better? ūüôā

INGREDIENTS
– 2 cups flax seeds
– 1 cup sesame seeds
– 0,5 cup pumpkin seeds
– 0,5 cup sunflower seeds
– 5 sundried tomatoes (more or less)
– 10 olives (more or less)
– Herbs

Start by soaking the seeds over night. You are going to notice that the flax seeds get a slimy fluid which is also the secret with these crackers.

Therafter place all the seeds in a bowl and stir so they mix well. Chop the sundried tomatoes and olives into small pieces and add to the seed mixture. Use a baking sheet and place an oven paper on it. Spread out the seed mixture and flavour it with some herbs. Now it is time to place it in the oven on 40 Celsius degrees but you can also use a dehydrator if you have one. Let the crackers be in the oven until crunchy and easy to break. This takes some time in the oven, about 8-10 hours. Voila, ready to be enjoyed!

What do you think about the pics above? We think they speak to us so clearly and in a very powerful way. In the end we have to live. Not only breathe and think this is all that is. Life is the greatest journey. A never ending one filled with passion, love and new adventures. We have to live and experience. We are all newbies in the beginning and that is the most important part to realize. How would we otherwise evolve and become more and more of the person we are meant to be for each day that passes? We are supposed to feel a bit scared and go outside our comfort zone . Push our limits, but by doing it step by step we will at the same time keep our courage with us. Chocolate Vanilla Raspberry Dream Cake

Today we want to share our divine Chocolate Vanilla Raspberry Dream Cake with you. We think this is the absolute best raw cake we have ever enjoyed. Honestly, it has everything you need in a perfect cake. A crunchy crust followed with a perfect rich chocolate layer, topped with a smooth sweet tickling vanilla spread. To give our Dream Cake the perfect combination of sensations in your mouth it is finally topped with a nice refreshing raspberry cream. This cake is pure pleasure for all your senses. Not to mention that the chocolate filling alone blows your mind.dream cake 4

INGREDIENTS

Crust
– 1 cup buckwheat flakes (change to nuts if you prefer)
–¬†8¬†dates

Chocolate Dream
–¬†2 cups cashew nuts (soaked)
–¬†2 bananas (more if desired)
– 8 dates
– 3 big tbl coconut oil
–¬†1/2-1 cup raw cacao
–¬†4 tbl agave syryp (or other sweetener)
– 1 tbl vanilla / 1 vanilla pod

Vanilla Spread
– 1 1/2 cups of cashews
– 1/4 cup of water
–¬†3¬†tbl coconut oil
– 2 tbl agave syryp
– 1 tbl of vanilla / 1 vanilla bean
– a pinch of salt

Raspberry Cream
– 1 banana
– 1 cup frozen raspberries
– 1 lime

Decoration
– Homemade peanut butter (optional)
– Raw cacao nibs

Start with making the crust by putting the ingredients in your food processor. Let ig go until you get a nice and crunchy texture. Divide it into your form. Put it in the fridge meanwhile you prepare the rest of the cake.

Now make the Chocolate Dream and put all the ingredients in your mixer. Blend until you get a nice and creamy texture. The more raw cacao you put in the more epic it will be. Cover the crust with your delicious Chocolate Dream paste. Put it in the freezer meanwhile you prepare next layers. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes before spreading next layer on it.

To make your Vanilla Spread simply put all the ingredients except water in your washed mixer. Add as little water as needed to make it smooth. Put it in a bowl and place it in your fridge.

You can make this cake in two ways. Either you want your Raspberry Cream liquid and prepare it when it is time to serve the cake or you make the Raspberry Cream now and add it to the cake and let the cake rest in the freezer unti it is time to serve.

Take out your Chocolate Dream and if decorate it with the peanut butter (optional). Cover the chocolate layer with Vanilla Spread.

Now make your Raspberry Cream by mixing the ingredients in your clean mixer. Spread it carefully over your cake.

Either you eat it directly or put it in your freezer and serve it later. Make sure to take it out a good while before eating, around 20-30 min. ¬†dream cake 2Buon appetito! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did ūüôā

Inspirational Stories and a Refreshing Cilantro Lime Dip

First of all we want to thank you for all the positive comments and support we have received for our Sundried Mango Project in Ghana. It really means a lot and we are thrilled to have you joining us as well because together we can make a positive difference in the World. We cannot wait to do whatever we are capable of to help our friends out of poverty. Together we can be good, do good  and create a beautiful planet Earth! This week is the good news week so we figured why not to share some more funsies with you. ūüôā As we grow quite rapidly and are starting to reach more and more loving people across continents we are in the process¬†to develop our website. We love all your feedback we get through comments, messages, e-mails etc. It is so much fun and pure pleasure to connect with you!¬†To make our website even more interesting for you to follow we are planning to¬†have some new fun and inspiring¬†features¬†that we¬†believe you will like. What we are fascinated about is to hear other people¬īs stories and outlook on life. What we would like to do is to share your inspirational stories with us, that we later on will post on our website. It¬†may for instance¬†include a Law of Attraction-story¬†from how you attracted a cup of coffee to a million dollar. cilantro lime dip 2cilantro lime dip 1We also have some more recipes to share from Julie¬īs birthday weekend. This one is a Refreshing Cilantro Lime Dip which is perfect to serve with cucumbers, carrots, selery or whatever you fancy to dip with. It is a really yummie alternative for a healthy dip plus it is super easy to prepare.

INGREDIENTS
–¬†1,5 cups sunflower seeds
–¬†1,5 cups pumpkin seeds
– 1/2 – 1 cup lime
– 3-4 bunches of cilantro
– 4 tbl fresh parsley
– 1/4 tsp Cummin
– Salt and pepper (to taste)
– Chilli (to taste)
– Water (if needed)

Place all the ingredients except the cilantro and water in the food processor and process until smooth. You can add water as much as you want depending on how smooth you want the dip. Chop the cilantro one bunch at a time and add until you get an awesome refreshing flavour and consistency.  As for the spices the measures are just guidelines so feel free to play with them, there are no right and wrong.

Another tip is also if you wish to reduce the amount of seed intake to add extra cilantro instead. This dip is perfect now when the Summer is around the corner. Make sure you enjoy it with a bright smile because it is that good! ūüôā

Homemade Peanut Butter

Hello Lovely!

We hope you having a good Friday and¬†keep the good vibes going.¬†The¬†weekend is about to begin.¬†Do you have any plans for the weekend? We have an awesome¬†wicked excited weekend ahead of us. It is Julie¬īs birthday on Sunday and we will¬†have some friends over tomorrow¬†evening for a rawesome aperitivo. So now we are in the preparation for goodies we will serve our beloved friends. We are having so much fun in the kitchen at the moment and want to share¬†our¬†homemade peanut butter we just prepared with you.¬†¬†It is super easy to make¬†and you know exactly what¬†it contains.¬†It is not often we make our own nut butters but seriously¬†peanut butter is sooooo good! We also have to note that this is not a raw peanut butter version because we could not find any raw peanuts to use.

jordnöt1Here is how to make your Homemade Peanut Butter:

INGREDIENTS
– 1 cup peanuts

Place all the desired peanuts in your food processor or blender. Process it until it turns into a butter like consistency. This make take some time. At first the peanuts turn flour like. Therafter it starts to be more set and eventually turns into the creamy butter. During the blending you might have to scrape down the sides of your blender/food processor because the peanut rests tend to get stuck there. Also be careful so you donnot burn the engine of your blender/food processor. Our suggestion is to be patient and prepare yourself for a peanut butter euforia.

jordnöt2We had a litte afternoon snack with the peanut butter and stuffed some dates. We enjoyed them with a cup of tea each and big smiles on our faces. At last we want to share our happy song we are dancing along with in the kitchen and we wish you a wonderful Friday!

How are you today? ūüôā First of all LOVE to see all your comments and likes both here, on¬†Facebook (The Raw Food Sisters)¬†and on Instagram.¬†Unfortunately we cannot link you directly to our Facebook page due to some technical troubles. We are waiting for that to be fixed¬†so meanwhile¬†you can search for us on Facebook as The Raw Food Sisters.¬†We know we have said it thousands of time but nothing is more exciting and fun than to connect with you. It feels like we are all creating one big loving and happy family! ūüėÄ Well, we know of course that the sun might not shine all day, every day. But you know, that is alright. We are here to support each other and remind one another that the world is beautiful and there is magic in every single moment. Sometimes it might be a bit more tricky to see and feel it but a good reminder is our dear friend Albert Einsteins words (pic above). In the end, we need to remember that some dancing in the rain helps us to see clearly and be able to evolve to the persons we are meant to become. Do you agree?¬†

These last weeks have been pretty busy for us. We have worked a lot and mostly from different coffee bars around Amsterdam. That means we have eaten the majority of our meals out and about. So how do you manage to do that as Raw Vegans in a city filled with fried pommes and mayonnaise? ūüėČ No but seriously there are plenty of healthy food options in this city but of course not as many Raw Vegans that we would appreciate. We have find our way to stick with our crazy energetic lifestyle and would at the moment not change it for anything. So here we have some of our tricks that might help you to stay healthy and vibrant out and about in a city the whole day:

– We usually order some fresh mint tea or a freshly squeezed juice in the cafe. We might be a bit sneaky and snack on some nuts or dried fruits (that we have brought) if we need some extra energy.. but shhh donnot tell anyone! ūüėČ

– For lunch we like to move our ¬†bodies a bit. Specially if we have been sitting in front of the computer for hours. We usually go for a walk and try to find a nice little spot where we can indulge in plenty of fresh fruits for lunch. Either we have already prepared a big fruit salad or we mono meal (eat many of one fruit) and bananas are perfect for days like these (or apples as the pic above). Gives plenty of good energy! Please check out our beautiful friend¬īs post¬†why¬†you should enjoy bananas with a huge and happy appetite.

– Water! You probably know already how important water is. We cannot say it enough it is the KEY to everything. Stay hydrated! When you think you cannot drink anymore, fill yourself with an other cup of water. When you drink plenty of water you will not crave anything either. Many times when we think we want to snack on something or feel hungry we are actually thirsty. So drink up! Water will give you plenty of energy. Donnot be shy to ask if you could refill yor bottle. – We have got some comments if we still drink alcohol. The thing is, we donnot want to live a life under any restrictions. Follow your heart desires and eat and drink whatever feels right for you in this very moment. Very important to distinguish what you¬†actually¬†need and what your ego is craving. However, food and drinks are supposed to be FUN and EXCITING. Eat to fuel yourself and feel the best you can. Not the other way around. Whatever you put in your mouth love it with your full heart. Life is too precious to feel bad! With that said, we drink some wine and love a glass of good red wine. If we end up staying late working in a cafe and suddenly it turned out to be a bar, we would not say no to a glass of wine and some olives! ūüėČ (Yes we eat olives even if they are not raw. In the end, there are no rules and we all should do what makes us feel good.)

– POSITIVITY. EXCITMENT. GOOD VIBES! These words should be first on the list. Since seriously, with a positive mind set you are settle for 98 % of the time. Be excited. You donnot want to ¬†be lazy and eat crap because it is easy access to you. You donnot want to do that simply because you deserve to feel AMAZING! The key to succeed on this lifestyle is to realize deep within you why you choose to live like a little monkey ūüėČ That is the best reminder whenever you get hungry and a bit grumpy and it would be 10000 times more easy to grab a pizza slice. But remember, you want to thrive. You want to rise to higher frequencies. You want to feel the love of life flow through you. You want to see the world with clear vision. You simply donnot want to harm your body and poison yourself! (sorry if we sound hard but we KNOW it is difficult to remember this specially when you are hungry and alone. NOTE: eat a pizza if you want to. There is nothing bad with a pizza as long as you feel GOOD!)

Please feel free to share your ideas with us and our friends. Remember life is supposed to be fun and easy! We know the modern world is not very adapted to¬†how¬†we think we should be living. So we simply have to live the change we wish to see. Together we can inspire and motivate each other that in the future it would be more normal to enter a cafe and get a massive raw cake served ūüėČ Those days are coming as long as we walk our talk!

975339_10151630844361054_102101107_nOh dear. Today we had the most vibrant and happy breakfast! We got so high on speed that we seriously could not stop laughing and joking around. Juice for breakfast will make you go bananas (in the most positive way as possible). Today¬īs breakfast is called Happy Juice Dance since it literally made us bust out in crazy dance moves ūüėÄ So here we go!

INGREDIENTS
– Fresh Orange and strawberry juice
– Spinach
– Kiwi
– Chlorella

Put all the ingredients in your mixer and let it go until it is smooth and nice. Pour it in to your glass and be ready for a magical day!
