Hello precious,

What a beautiful sunny weekend Amsterdam has given us. We appreciate it with our full hearts and have tried to spend as much time as possible outside. Re-charging our Vitamin D levels in our bodies! 😉 We are so happy to hear some of you want to join us on May Meditation MonthRemember that it is never too late to start. There is always time to start to meditate and connect with our inner selves. If you have started practicing, how is it going? If you have any thoughts, ideas, tricks or anything you want to share with us and our friends. Please do so! We have so far meditated every day. Some days for 5-10 min but this morning we started the day with 20 min. Oooh, such a nice feeling! We are still in the beginning of our meditation practice and very so often our thoughts wander away. Therefore, it is even more important to keep practicing. Hopefully within a short time we will be able to quite our minds more and more. In a couple of days we will write a longer post about our thoughts about this. We will also link some guided meditation videos that we have found to be useful! But until then.. keep practicing 😉

Yesterday we met up with a close friend out in Vondelpark in Amsterdam. Perfect weather to enjoy some nice white wine in the sun! Later on we went to the vegetarian (and vegan friendly) restaurnat Golden Temple and enjoyed a Raw Vegan delicious salad. Perfect Raw Crackers made out of different seeds, sun dried tomatoes and herbs. Something we have to try to make ourselves! Later in the evening we craved some dessert so we made a massive portion of Raw Vegan Ice cream. So delicious and super easy to make. This time we made three different flavours; blueberry, raspberries and carob! Have a look at the ingredients if you want to make some vibrant and healthy ice cream to yourself, your family and friends. 🙂

INGREDIENTS

– Frozen bananas
– Frozen blueberries
– Dates

Raspberry
– Frozen bananas
– Frozen raspberries
– Dates

Carob
– Frozen bananas
– Dates
– Cinnamon
– Cardamon
– Carob

Mix all the ingredients either in your mixer or food processor. Store it in the fridge or freezer meanwhile you prepare the other flavours. Voilá!

  1. Hei kjære dere 🙂 Håper dere har hat en fin helg. Det første bildet passer meg perfekt i dag. Det trengte jeg å se. Føler ikke jeg har fått gjort noe effektivt i helga, siden ting stopper opp. Da er det så lett å tenke at man henger etter osv.. Men det er jo fortsatt en mulighet for at det løser seg, så det går nok bra! 🙂 Må prøve den isen med carob snart. Elsker de smakene. Blir spennende å høre hva dere får ut av denne måneden med meditasjon. Jeg har allerede tatt 30min i dag. Når jeg er stressa, må jeg øke tiden jeg mediterer. Maten på den restauranten ser så god ut. Fikk lyst til å lage slike kjeks selv 😉

    • Inget sker utan anledning 😉 Så därför vi lade upp den bilden (hehe) nej men bra att höra att den passade in perfekt. Vi behöver påminnelser här och där hur vi ska förhålla oss till olika situationer. Så rätt, ibland går det bara inte att tvinga sig. Då är det bättre att ta en aktiv paus och säga till sig själv att nej nu vilar jag. Istället för att ändå inte göra något men gå och fundera på det! Det fixar du. Vi tror på dig och tänk så långt du redan kommit 🙂 Heja heja! Hoppas du haft en bra start på veckan. Många kramar!

    • Ps. Grymt bra att höra att du mediterar och så sant, när vi stressar är det till och med VIKTIGARE att ta oss tid att meditera. Det är tyvärr då det är lättast att strunta i det. Så perfekt att du tagit dig tid att till och med meditera längre!! Well done girl!!

  2. Hello beautiful sistera 🙂 I started my raw vegan journey about a month ago but I find myself putting on a bit of weight! I don’t overeat, just until I am no longer hungry. I love the nutrious food but I am a bit sad about gaining weight, do you have any advice for me please?

    • Hello lovely! Happy to hear you are on your raw journey. Let us know how it goes and what you think! We are not sure what it can be, maybe it is the body adjusting. We have heard about some gaining a little in the beginning but lost it after a while. Do you eat a lot of fat as well together with the fruits? Or how do you eat? Hope we can help you in some way but it is difficult to say and we are far from experts but let us know a little more and we might be able to give you a better answer. Many hugs beautiful!

      • Thank you so much for your reply! I try to do proper food combining. I have been eating maybe too many nuts. I will now try to eat fruit alone without fats, just fruit at one time, do you think that will help if I eat more fruit and less fat? Also properly food combining should help ?

      • That might be the problem! It is easy specially in the beginning to eat a lot of nuts. We are still there. But don´t be too hard on yourself. Try to have an easy approach to the food and be excited about all the good ingredients. In the way the nuts are delicious and super healthy. So try to stay positive! It will soon get easier and you will easily adjust to what your body actually is craving. Try to eat as much veggies and fruits you really can. It is easily to eat too little fruit/veggies and then overeat nuts etc to feel full. Try to make it the otherway around! Remember it is a journey – a fun one. We are here to support you and we are also in the beginning of our journey we need to support each other 🙂 Many hugs!

  3. Denne posten fikk meg i skikkelig godt humør!! 😀 Alle bildene av dere og maten er så koselige og fargerike, og dere er jo så utrolig søte begge to!!
    De to øverste bildene var også utrolig fine, man trenger å lese og huske på slikt altså!
    Jeg har meditert de siste dagene. Synes det er kjempevanskelig å koble ut hjernen, men jeg er sikker på at det kommer til å bli lettere etterhvert! I dag tok jeg nesten 10 minutter etter yogaen. Utrolig deilig, selv om jeg ikke føler jeg helt “mestrer” meditasjon ennå.
    Isen deres ser også kjempegod ut! Så deilig nå som endelig solen har kommet og sommeren på alvor kommer!
    Helgen deres hørtes helt perfekt ut, og jeg håper resten blir like bra. Det er jeg sikker på at den blir 🙂

      Jätte bra att höra att du mediterar. Vi är på samma nivå. Tankarna åker iväg men det är därför det är så viktigt att fokusera på det och utmana sig själv. Snart sitter vi alla som små meditationsexperter 😉 Det är sant som du säger, bättre att starta med kortare tid och ju längre tiden går så ökar vi! Tack för dina kloka tankar.   4. Åh vad gott det ser ut med glass! Har fryst ner bananer i kylskåpet så ska göra glass i morgon 🙂 Jag undrar om det går att använda russin istället för dadlar?

      • Hahaha tredje gången gillt 😉 Vad kul att höra! Du får berätta hur det gick 🙂 Ett tips är om du inte redan tänkt på det är att skära bananerna i små bitar innan du fryser dem för att göra det enklare för mixern/matberedaren att ha sönder dem. Dadlar har vi i för att göra det sötare och det ger en god konsistent och sötma till. Vi har inte prövat med russin. Är inte säker dock det skulle göra samma effekt som just dadlar men det är ju alltid värt att prova! 🙂 Om du prövar, berätta vad du tyckte. Vi älskar nya experiment!

  5. For noen flotte bilder 😀 Det så ut som det perfekte stedet for lunsj og middag! Jeg lagde slik is flere ganger i fjor og ble like overrasket hver gang over hvor fantastisk det smaker 😀 Håper dere får en fin start på en ny uke 😀

  6. Inspirerande som vanligt 🙂 Vilken watt har er matberederare? Jag måste skaffa en ny och funderar på storlek/hastighet så den klarar av att göra “glass”. Kramar!

    • Tack så mycket! 🙂 Nu i Amsterdam använder vi en mixer men i Sverige har vi en bra och stor matberedare som gör riktigt fin och krämig glass. Vi får återkomma med svar senare idag, måste kolla upp hur många watt! Ett tips är att skära bananerna i små bitar innan du fryser dem. Det gör det lättare för matberedaren/mixern att ha sönder dem. Det kan också vara bra att addera en vanlig banan om maskinen inte är så stark för att göra det lite enklare att bryta ner allt. Happy ice cream making 😀

    • Thank you beautiful! Good to hear you are giving it a try as well. We will write a longer post about it soon 🙂 We have so far done it every day. The most days for 5-10min but one for 20min.     • It is highly addictive and makes you feel so good. Specially in addition with a healthy diet and lifestyle in general. The most amazing feeling!
