BANANALICIOUS with a date-cream


How are we doing today? Did you have a healthy start of the day or did you find it difficult to find inspiration for something simple, tasty and also healthy to start the day off with? No worries – here is a super easy meal that you can do in a couple of minutes, and depending how much of the two main  ingredients you chooise to add, you can make it your breakfast/lunch/dinner or a simple and quick energy fix.



Bananalicious with a date-cream
– Frozen bananas
– Dates
– Cinnamon
– Cardamom

Mix the frozen bananas with cinnamon and cardamon until you get a nice creamy consistent.
Put it in a bowl/glass. Mix your dates creamy. Add it in your banana cream.


Soooo delicious, simple and healthy. This meal will definitely fuel you for a good while.

Bananas are known for their high potassium content, with over 400 mg potassium in a single medium-size banana. Potassium is necessary for good nerve and muscle function as well as for maintaining a healthy balance of fluids in the body. As with many fruits, bananas contain a good amount of vitamin C. And believe it or not but one single banana provides about 10 mg of vitamin C, or about 15 percent of your daily recommended amount. Vitamin C boosts your immune system and cell health and improves the absorption of other nutrients such as iron. Pretty good deal, right? Since B vitamins are more commonly found in animal products, it may come as a surprise that bananas are an excellent source of vitamin B-6, also called pyridoxine. So listen to this one; One banana supplies 35 percent of your daily B-6 requirement!!!  Your body uses vitamin B-6 to grow new cells. Bananas also deliver small amounts of other vitamins and minerals. A banana provides some iron, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus as well as vitamins A and E, folate, carotene and choline. Bananas also contain trace amounts of many amino acids.

Dates contain oil, calcium, sulphur, iron, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, copper and magnesium wich all are advantageous for health. Awsome right?! Our lovely dates also help in fighting constipation, intestinal disorders, weight gain, heart problems, sexual weakness, diarrhoea and abdominal cancer. If that is not enough, dates are moderate sources of vitamin A (look under banana for health benefits) and an excellent source of iron. Iron, being a component of hemoglobin inside the red blood cells, determines the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. It is said that taking one date in a day will help you to maintain your healthy eyes for your lifetime.. and who wouldn´t mind that?
